Account Deletion & Data Removal
How to delete your TheirStack account and all associated data, what gets removed, our retention practices, and how to request erasure of personal data even if you don't have an account.
This page explains how to delete your TheirStack account, what data is removed, and how to request erasure of personal data we may hold about you.
Delete your account yourself
If you have a TheirStack account, you can delete it at any time from the app, no need to contact us:
- Sign in at app.theirstack.com.
- Go to Settings -> Profile.
- Scroll to the Delete Account section and click Delete Account.
- Confirm in the dialog. This action cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your account and all of your associated data, including:
- Your saved searches
- Your webhooks
- Your company lists
- Your API tokens (they are revoked immediately)
- Your team memberships
If you are the sole owner of a team, ownership is transferred to the next member where one exists. If no other members remain, the team is closed and any active subscription is cancelled.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access your account, or you prefer us to handle the deletion for you, email hi@theirstack.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete your account and data. We will action the request and confirm once it is complete.
Erasure of personal data (no account required)
You do not need a TheirStack account to request that we remove personal data we may hold about you. Under the GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of your personal data, and to opt out of being included in our datasets.
To exercise these rights, email hi@theirstack.com. We respond within the timelines required by applicable data protection law. See our Data Collection & Legal Compliance page for more on what we collect and the legal basis for it.
Retention after deletion
We delete your information as soon as is practicable after your request. Please note that residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period, and we may retain a minimal amount of information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, as described in the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy.
