TheirStack and Techmap both sell job posting data, but they sell it in very different shapes. TheirStack is a global, deduplicated job and company search you query with an API, webhooks or the app. Techmap sells raw job postings, one country at a time, as daily files on AWS Data Exchange — with a low-cost metered API alongside it.
Techmap operates two storefronts: the older techmap.io and the current jobdatafeeds.com. The two sites disagree on almost every number, so everything below is taken from jobdatafeeds.com and from their public AWS Marketplace listings.

What is Techmap?
Techmap crawls job boards, aggregators, public employment offices and ATS career pages and republishes what it finds. Their source explorer lists 195 portals — 117 ATS career pages, 57 job boards, 13 aggregators and 7 employment offices — with LinkedIn the largest single source at 1.3M postings in June 2026.
They sell that data three ways:
- A metered API on RapidAPI, covering the last 3 months of postings.
- Daily feeds per country on AWS Data Exchange, as gzipped JSON-Lines files with a rolling 100-day window.
- Historic datasets per country, going back to January 2020.
The most important difference: duplicates are counted
Techmap's FAQ is refreshingly explicit about this:
A duplicate is defined as a job posting with the same company name, city, country, and job title appearing within a 3-day window. Duplicates are kept in the dataset but flagged with the field
isDuplicate: true. [...] This applies across portals — the same job appearing on a job board and a company career page is marked as a duplicate rather than removed.
This is the single biggest thing to understand before comparing any of their numbers to anyone else's. Their 14.6M active postings, their 8.3M new postings per month, and every per-country figure they publish are gross counts. One job that a company posts on its own career page and syndicates to LinkedIn and a national job board is three rows in a Techmap feed, and three billable records on their API.
TheirStack merges those into one job. That means:
- Our counts and Techmap's counts are not measuring the same thing, and ours are the more conservative number.
- A per-record price is not comparable across the two products until you know each vendor's duplicate rate. Techmap publishes the flag, not the rate.
- On the file products, you pay for the storage and the processing of records you will most likely throw away.
Their flag is useful — you can filter on isDuplicate yourself — but the deduplication work, and the cost of the rows you discard, sits with you.
Conclusion: TheirStack wins on deduplication.
Volume, measured the same way
Techmap publishes per-country volumes for June 2026. Here is how those compare with jobs TheirStack found in the last 30 days (measured 21 July 2026), in the countries where they publish figures:

TheirStack finds roughly twice as many US jobs as Techmap does, before accounting for the fact that Techmap's number still contains duplicates and ours does not.
Where Techmap is genuinely strong is Germany: at 1,549,007 postings in June 2026 it is their largest market, ahead of the US. If Germany is your only market and you want raw files, that is a real strength worth checking against your own sample.
Techmap also has a deeper archive: 406M postings since January 2020. TheirStack has postings going back further than that in places, but coverage only gets dense from 2021 onward, so for long-run labour market research their early years are more complete than ours.
Conclusion: TheirStack wins on live volume; Techmap wins on archive depth.
Freshness
Techmap's file products carry a fixed two-day delay: "Data files are exported two days after the day finishes on UTC+2". The same wording appears on their AWS Data Exchange listings. So the newest row you can read in a daily feed describes a day that ended two days ago.
Their API is much better on this — postings show up "within hours" — but the API only covers the last 3 months and returns 10 postings per request.
TheirStack exposes new postings within minutes, in the API, in webhooks and in the app, with no separate archive product to buy.
Conclusion: TheirStack wins on freshness.
Pricing
Where Techmap is cheaper
We are not going to pretend otherwise: on headline API price, Techmap is cheaper than us. Their RapidAPI plans work out at roughly $1 per 1,000 job postings, which is what they advertise:

Three caveats that are easy to miss:
- The API is metered in requests of 10 postings, not in postings. A "3,000 request" plan is 30,000 postings — their FAQ says so explicitly — and a partially-used page still costs a whole request.
- Every tier carries a RapidAPI bandwidth fee of $0.001/MB above 10 GB per month.
- Those postings include duplicates. The price per distinct job is higher than the price per row, by an amount they do not publish.
If your use case is "give me a lot of recent postings for one country as cheaply as possible, I will clean them up myself", Techmap's API is a good deal and you should try it.
Where the comparison turns
The file products are where per-country pricing starts to bite. All of these are published and self-serve on AWS Data Exchange:

Feeds are listed at $200–$400 per country per month and historic datasets at $2,400–$4,800 per country, priced on that country's volume at listing time. Techmap publishes bundle discounts — −25% global, −10% EU, −5% for three countries, −8.3% quarterly, −16.6% annual, and −50% for startups and for research — and a free Luxembourg dataset you can use to inspect the schema before buying. The AWS Data Exchange listings state that there are no refunds.
The structural difference is that Techmap's feed pricing is a fixed monthly commitment per country, independent of how much of the data you use, and it multiplies as you add markets. TheirStack's pricing is usage-based and global from the first plan: you pay for the jobs and companies you actually pull, anywhere in the world, and unused credits roll over for up to 12 months. Conclusion: Techmap wins on raw API price per record; TheirStack wins on multi-country coverage and on price per useful record.
Field coverage
Techmap publishes its own fill rates: salary on ~23% of postings, contact information on ~31%, reference IDs on 30% and locale on 28%. Publishing them at all is more transparency than most vendors offer, and it is worth knowing before you build a workflow that depends on any of those fields — filters over them only reach the minority of rows that have them.

Summary
Techmap is a legitimately cheap source of raw job postings if you want one country as files and are prepared to do the cleanup. Their $1 per 1,000 postings API price is lower than ours, they publish their prices and their field fill rates openly, and their early archive is denser than ours.
The trade-offs are that their headline volumes are not deduplicated — duplicates are kept and flagged, so you pay for them — their file exports run two days behind, their API only reaches back 3 months, and coverage is bought country by country. TheirStack finds 3,191,794 US jobs and 1,802,582 EU-27 jobs in the last 30 days as deduplicated records, from 351k sources, available within minutes, in one global plan.
