How to find customers for your implementation services

Companies that run the platform you implement say so in their job posts. How to turn those posts into a checked list of accounts, with live counts.

Christian PalouChristian Palou•November 3, 2026•Updated: November 4, 2026

If you implement, integrate or support one platform, your customers are the companies that already run it, and most of them say so in their job posts: an accountant ad that asks for NetSuite experience, an admin role for ServiceNow, a finance systems lead for SAP. On 3 November 2026 our job data showed 76,381 companies that mention NetSuite in their job posts, 71,748 that mention ServiceNow and 354,196 that mention SAP, and each of those mentions links back to the post it came from.

So the list you need already exists in public. The work is finding it, filtering it down to the companies you can serve, and checking each one before you write to it.

Why the usual ways of finding these companies fall short

Most consultancies start with what they know: the vendor's partner portal, referrals, events and a contact database filtered by industry. Those work for the accounts you already know about. They don't tell you which of the mid-sized companies in your country run the platform you implement.

Website technology lookups are the next stop, and the first objection we hear is "BuiltWith already does this." BuiltWith describes its own method as tracking the "signals" that every website gives off when it uses a technology (BuiltWith FAQ). That works for what runs on a public site: analytics tags, a chat widget, an online store platform, a CDN. An ERP, an ITSM tool or a finance system runs behind the login, so it usually leaves no signal on the company's website. Those are exactly the platforms most implementation partners sell around.

Job posts fill that gap. A company that runs NetSuite hires a NetSuite administrator, asks its accountants to know NetSuite and asks its FP&A lead to maintain the integration between NetSuite and its planning tool. A recent post also tells you that something is happening around the platform now, which is the moment a partner can help.

One mention is weak evidence, though. A procurement manager ad that asks for "ERP and procurement software e.g., Xero, Sage, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite" (job post) says nothing about which ERP the company runs. That is why a usable list needs a confidence level per company and a link to the posts behind it, so you can tell a company that runs the platform from one that named it in a list.

Worked example: a UK NetSuite partner builds its list

Say you run a NetSuite consultancy in the UK and your sweet spot is companies with 50 to 500 employees. Here is the list built from start to finish, with the numbers we got on 3 November 2026.

Start with every company in that band whose job posts mention NetSuite. With HQ Country set to United Kingdom, Employees from 50 to 500 and Company type set to direct employer (to drop recruiting agencies), the search returns 1,174 companies.

Then keep only strong evidence. Setting Keyword confidence to High cuts the list to 336 companies. Our confidence level weighs how often a company mentions the technology, how it compares with other tools in the same category, where the mention appears (a title or URL counts more than a line in a description) and how recent it is (how we source tech stack data). These 336 are your install base, and you can open the same search in the app.

Next, find the ones with a project going on. Adding a job filter for open posts that mention NetSuite and were published in the last 30 days leaves 48 of the 336. Those are the accounts to call first, because someone there is hiring around the platform right now.

The posts themselves tell you what to say. In the last 30 days, a UK retailer with about 340 employees posted a NetSuite Functional Lead and, three days earlier, a Business Systems Manager for NetSuite. A UK software company with about 220 employees is hiring a Senior NetSuite Administrator & Developer. A UK bank with about 420 employees wants an Anaplan lead to "maintain and enhance integrations between Anaplan and platforms including Google Cloud Platform, nCino and NetSuite" (job post). Each one is a company that runs NetSuite and is staffing up around it, which gives you a specific reason to write.

Finally, export. Each company you reveal or export costs 1 company credit and stays open to you for 90 days, so exporting the 336 high-confidence companies costs 336 company credits, or 48 if you only take the ones hiring around NetSuite right now. The file has the firmographics of each company plus a set of columns for NetSuite with its confidence and job count (what the export contains).

Across all countries, in the 30 days to 3 November 2026, 7,426 direct employers posted 12,697 open jobs that mention NetSuite, and 340 companies had an open job with NetSuite in its title. A partner in another country runs the same search with a different HQ Country.

How do you build this list in TheirStack?

In the app, open a company search with these filters, the ones from the UK NetSuite example:

Technology: NetSuite
HQ Country: United Kingdom
Employees: 50 to 500
Company type: Direct employer
Keyword confidence: High

For your own market, set Technology to the platform you implement (NetSuite, ServiceNow, SAP or any other in our catalogue) and HQ Country and Employees to your market and size band. Use Medium and High confidence if you sell to small companies that post few jobs. Optionally, add a job filter for posts from the last 30 days that mention the platform, to rank the accounts with an active project.

Hover over the technology cell of any result to see the confidence, the first and last date we found it, and the number of jobs that mention it. Click that number to read the posts. Searching and counting cost nothing; you spend credits when you reveal or export companies. The free plan gives you 50 company credits and 200 API credits every month (plans), enough to reveal the 48 companies from the example before you pay for anything.

Through the API, the same list is one call to the Company Search endpoint, billed at 3 API credits per company returned:

curl -X POST https://api.theirstack.com/v1/companies/search \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "company_technology_slug_or": ["netsuite"],
    "company_country_code_or": ["GB"],
    "min_employee_count": 50,
    "max_employee_count": 500,
    "company_type": "direct_employer",
    "tech_filters": { "confidence_or": ["high"] },
    "limit": 25
  }'

From an AI assistant, connect the TheirStack MCP server and ask in plain language. The assistant calls the search_companies tool with the filters above, and generate_app_url returns a link that opens the same search in the app (MCP tools).

Using the TheirStack MCP, find UK companies with 50 to 500 employees that use NetSuite with high confidence, excluding recruiting agencies.

What job posts miss about a company's stack

We only see a technology when a company's job posts mention it. A company that runs NetSuite and isn't hiring, or never names it in its ads, won't appear, so treat the counts as a floor (why a company can be missing). Small companies post fewer jobs, so they tend to get Low or Medium confidence even when they use the platform.

We tell you the platform, not the module. A post may say NetSuite without saying whether the company uses its manufacturing or its billing features, and you find that out by reading the post.

The direct employer filter removes most recruiting agencies, but not all of them. In our UK sample for NetSuite job titles, an ad from a recruitment firm and one from a job board for accountants still came through, so scan the list before you export it.

We give you the company and the posts. Contacts are not part of this search: the app's Find People button opens your companies in Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or ContactOut to find the people there.

Run the same search for your own platform and market

Run the search for your own platform and market in the TheirStack app. The full walkthrough is in our guide to finding companies by technology stack, and the MCP docs show how to run it from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

TheirStack: integrations with AI assistants, automations and CRMs

TheirStack works with the AI assistants, automation tools and CRMs you already use: ask Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server, send new matches to Clay, n8n, Make or Zapier by webhook, and create leads in Salesforce or HubSpot.
