Market note
France is a market where the job description itself carries most of the signal. Postings are long, structured and explicit about contract type — CDI, CDD, alternance, stage — in a way that few other markets are, so a keyword filter over French descriptions separates permanent hiring from apprenticeship and internship volume far more reliably than a title filter would. The local supply side is distinct too: HelloWork and career pages running Flatchr sit alongside the international boards.
One caveat when reading the monthly series: French hiring pauses over the summer, so an August figure says more about the calendar than about demand. Compare French volume year over year rather than month over month.

Methodology
- What we count. Individual online job postings, not survey-based vacancy estimates. A posting is counted once, on the date it was published.
- Where they come from. Job boards, company career pages behind applicant tracking systems, and aggregators — see the full source list.
- Deduplication. The same role published on several boards is merged into one posting, so multi-source coverage inflates neither counts nor trends.
- Geography. A posting counts towards a country when any of its locations resolve to that country, so a multi-country posting is counted in each. Country breakdown tables instead attribute each posting to its primary location, so a single posting never appears twice in the same table.
- Refresh. New postings are discovered daily; the figures on this page are recomputed monthly against the live dataset.
