Market note
Germany is the market where the gap between the big international boards and the local ones matters most. A large share of German vacancies never reaches Indeed or LinkedIn in a usable form: they sit on StepStone, on the Bundesagentur für Arbeit's Jobbörse, or on career pages running Personio and Join — three systems that are near-invisible outside the DACH region and that we collect directly. The Sources table below shows how much of our German volume that changes.
The Workplace Types table is the remote share: what fraction of German postings are advertised as remote, hybrid or on-site. Germany runs a noticeably lower remote share than the Netherlands or the UK, which is worth accounting for if you are sizing a remote-first talent pool from this data.

How many job postings are there in Germany?
The counter above is our live figure: the number of German postings currently in the dataset. Do not expect it to match the Bundesagentur für Arbeit's registered-vacancy figure or Eurostat's job vacancy rate — those measure different things. The Bundesagentur counts vacancies employers report to it, Eurostat counts vacancies employers report in a survey, and we count job postings published online. A single vacancy advertised on three boards is one posting after deduplication; a vacancy filled through a network and never advertised appears in none of the three.
Which job boards and ATS do you cover in Germany?

The German-specific ones are StepStone, the Bundesagentur Jobbörse, Personio and Join, alongside the international boards and the ATS platforms German companies use on their own career pages. Can I break German postings down by city, industry or technology?
Not from this page, but yes from the data. City, industry, company size and the technologies named in a job description are all filters in the job posting API and in job search — combine any of them with the German country filter.

Methodology
- What we count. Individual online job postings, not survey-based vacancy estimates. A posting is counted once, on the date it was published.
- Where they come from. Job boards, company career pages behind applicant tracking systems, and aggregators — see the full source list.
- Deduplication. The same role published on several boards is merged into one posting, so multi-source coverage inflates neither counts nor trends.
- Geography. A posting counts towards a country when any of its locations resolve to that country, so a multi-country posting is counted in each. Country breakdown tables instead attribute each posting to its primary location, so a single posting never appears twice in the same table.
- Refresh. New postings are discovered daily; the figures on this page are recomputed monthly against the live dataset.
