Market note
Europe is the region where a single-country view misleads most often. Volume is spread across a dozen sizeable markets with different dominant boards, different languages and different remote norms, so a filter tuned on Germany transfers badly to Spain or Poland. The country table below is the useful artefact on this page: it ranks European markets by live posting volume, which is the fastest way to decide where a European go-to-market effort should actually start.
Europe here means the continent, not the European Union — it includes the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and the Western Balkans. The EMEA page widens this to the Middle East and Africa.

How many job postings are there in Europe?
The live counter above, aggregated across every European country in our coverage. Eurostat publishes a job vacancy rate for the EU from employer surveys; it measures open vacancies as a share of posts, not published postings, so it is a different quantity with a different denominator.
Does this include the UK and Switzerland?
Yes. This page is geographic Europe, so the UK, Switzerland, Norway and the Balkans are all in. If you need the EU specifically, pass the EU member codes to the API.
Which countries have the most job postings in Europe?

Which job boards cover Europe?
There is no pan-European board that matters — coverage is country by country, which is why we collect StepStone and the Bundesagentur Jobbörse for Germany, InfoJobs for Spain, HelloWork for France, Reed and CV-Library for the UK, alongside the international boards and ATS platforms. Methodology
- What we count. Individual online job postings, not survey-based vacancy estimates. A posting is counted once, on the date it was published.
- Where they come from. Job boards, company career pages behind applicant tracking systems, and aggregators — see the full source list.
- Deduplication. The same role published on several boards is merged into one posting, so multi-source coverage inflates neither counts nor trends.
- Geography. A posting counts towards a country when any of its locations resolve to that country, so a multi-country posting is counted in each. Country breakdown tables instead attribute each posting to its primary location, so a single posting never appears twice in the same table.
- Refresh. New postings are discovered daily; the figures on this page are recomputed monthly against the live dataset.
